My new front garden
It was an overgrown jumble of horrible plants, most of which were either dead, dying or just plain awful. I thought I would use my new-found leisure to re-vamp the area to my taste and liking.
We had to remove a bed of slate and rotting plastic sheeting and dig out the old trees and shrubs.
Laying new turf and planting new shrubs and a border of lavender probably cost in the region of £200. The cordelyne was form Big Plant nursery in Ashington. Most of the rest was thanks to some crummy local DIY warehouse which must remain nameless.
The bottle-brush plant will bring some welcome colour to the front garden.
